UNTIL YOU FEEL THIS: A Timely Documentary

Most viewers of television, movies, and similar content don’t understand the process of getting content/products bought by media networks. The process of creating content is the most rewarding, but selling, not so much.

A creator believes in the story they are sharing. It takes time, sometimes years, to capture, edit, and sell it. Creators believe others will find value in it; that is usually the purpose: to share information and experiences.  I understand that not everyone is interested in the same things. That makes the world interesting, our differences. I have no interest in the medical profession, but I am interested in the individuals who have chosen it as a career. I also enjoy the unrealistic medical shows that show us that those people are human with issues, just like me. It’s all about perspective.

I am grateful for the many film festivals that validated UNTIL YOU FEEL THIS, the Ukrainian project, through their selection process. I had high hopes that the networks and streaming companies would pay attention and find value in the stories of Ukrainian refugees. I believe the American people want to understand the perspective of a refugee. I still do. How can we understand and support each other without knowing each other’s history?

After investing time, money, effort, tears, and many moments of self-deprecation, I’ve decided to jump off the cliff and just post it. I am doing this because this story isn’t about me, at least not yet. And I believe the public will find these refugee experiences enlightening. And as Albert Einstein said, “Peace cannot be kept by force; it can only be achieved by understanding.”
